Griffon Marine is proud to announce it has won the International Trade Award, supported by the Department for Business and Trade, at the prestigious Maritime UK Awards 2025 ceremony, held last night in Dover in partnership with DFDS, Liverpool John Moores University, and the Port of Dover.
The award recognises maritime businesses that demonstrate outstanding achievements in international trade, including significant growth in exports, imports, or foreign direct investment. Griffon Marine was selected for its exceptional global trade performance, with over 80% of its output exported to markets across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
The judging panel commended Griffon Marine’s continued export growth and contribution to job creation, underlining the company’s impact on the global maritime economy and its strong positioning as a UK-based industry leader.
This achievement marks a milestone for the company, as it is the first award Griffon Marine has received since rebranding from Griffon Hoverwork earlier this year.
Mark Downer, CEO of Griffon Marine, commented:
"We’re incredibly proud to receive the International Trade Award – especially as it’s the first award we’ve won under our new name, Griffon Marine. Exporting is central to our business model, with over 80% of our production destined for overseas customers. This recognition reflects the dedication of our team and the strong relationships we’ve built with clients around the world."
Griffon Marine continues to support global maritime development by delivering advanced marine craft, including hovercraft and specialised vessels, built to exacting standards from its facilities on the south coast of England.
