Through apprenticeships, work placements and early‑career opportunities, we help local people develop practical skills, confidence and long‑term prospects in an industry that has shaped the region for generations. Many of our own workforce have built their careers locally, and we are proud to see apprentices and graduates progress into senior and specialist roles within the business.
We maintain close links with local schools, colleges and training providers, and actively engage with organisations that support skills development and economic resilience across the Solent. Our collaboration with partners such as the Solent Growth Partnership helps ensure that opportunities created by the maritime and defence sectors benefit local communities.
Beyond education and employment, Griffon Marine plays an active role in the wider marine, manufacturing and defence ecosystem. We are a Strategic Partner of Maritime Solent and members of the Society of Maritime Industries, contributing to industry leadership and working groups shaping the future of the maritime sector. We are also members of the Portsmouth Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Cluster, the South Central Regional Defence & Security Cluster and the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.
