Mark was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Griffon Marine in April 2025. He graduated from the University of Southampton with an MEng in Ship Science in 1992, and served for eight years as a Marine Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy. Mark then joined BAE Systems, contributing to the design of the Type 45 Destroyer, before moving to Lloyds Register in London to first set up the Naval Design Support Team, and then lead the London Design Support Office.

Mark joined Griffon Hoverwork in 2011 to lead the Engineering Department, overseeing the development of all new hovercraft products.

His influence is wider than the design engineering function, and in recent years as the Engineering Director, he has been responsible for all Business Development, Project Management, In-Service Support, and Supply Chain Management. Mark has been a member of the SMI Workboat Working Group since 2021.
