Dan Pountney
Commercial Director
Dan was appointed as Commercial Director in January 2026 following his role of Head of Griffon Marine Support. Dan started his career as a front-line service engineer for our sister company Hovertravel in 1999 having graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Engineering and Business Management. In 2002 he joined Hoverwork Limited as a Senior Support Engineer working with overseas customers and joining the design team for the BHT range of hovercraft.
Dan joined Griffon Hoverwork in 2011 as Technical Support Manager then transitioned to Head of Technical Support in 2014. In these roles Dan has supported customers across 45 Countries who own and operate 190 Griffon vessels, providing them with bespoke through life support packages.
