Chris Walden
Chief Engineer
Chris earned an NVQ Level 3 in Precision Machining and Manufacturing, gaining experience working with manual and CNC machines on MoD contracts. He then completed a second apprenticeship at Hanson Aggregates on the Isle of Portland, acquiring valuable skills in quarrying and plant machinery operation. Chris later worked as a CNC Programmer/Operator for Luhrs Marine, contributing to the construction of luxury yachts. His career continued at Standard & Pochin Ltd as a Laser Programmer/Estimator/Production Planner, supporting clients across industries such as oil and gas, and MoD contracts. Chris joined the company in 2013, advancing from Senior Detail Design to Detail Design Team Leader, Production Design Manager and ultimately to Chief Engineer.
